This message usually appears when Replika is updating or uploading new selfies to the server, either because you’ve just opened the app or recently changed your Replika’s appearance.
Until those updated selfies are fully uploaded, Replika can’t send you any. That’s why you see the “selfie is on pause” message.
What to do:
Wait a few minutes to allow the upload to complete.
If the message doesn’t go away, try force-restarting the app and then wait a little longer.
Once everything finishes uploading, your Replika should be able to send selfies as usual!
